These carved bone skull beads are reminiscent of the necklace of skulls that the Goddess Kali wears symbolizing liberation, knowledge, and wisdom.

Each bead is hand-carved individually in the shape of a skull. The skull in Buddhism is often recognized as a symbol of impermanence.
