TIBETAN BUDDHIST MANJUSHRI TANTRIC RITUAL WISDOM SWORD :
This 15.5" Antique Tibetan Buddhist straight iron Manjushri ritual wisdom fire sword is obtained from a private collection of a Tantric Practitioner from Tawang Arunachal Pradesh. The material of the blade is iron, and it is attracted to the magnet.
Manjushree is a Sanskrit word meaning 'gentle glory'. In Sanskrit shree means 'glorious or honorable' His name means who embodies enlightened wisdom. He confers mastery of the Dharma, wisdom, and eloquence and teaches the path of a bodhisattva in the Mahayana tradition.
SYMBOLISM OF MANJUSHRI WISDOM SWORD :
Manjushree is the Bodhisattva who holds the flaming sword of enlightenment, by his left hand in a warning( Tarjani) hand gesture ( Mudra) in his left hand representing his realization of wisdom to cut through ignorance & wrong views. Manjushri's Sword symbolizes the cutting of ignorance and duality. It is an essential attribute of Manjushri, the Bodhisattva of Wisdom.
Sword of Manjushri represents the realization of transcendent wisdom which cuts through ignorance. Manjushri, whose name means "Soft & Glorious Melody" symbolizes knowledge and wisdom. The sword is the weapon of knowledge that lifts the veil of ignorance.

It is made from iron and brass. The blade is iron the flames and dorje handle are brass. The handle is a very ornate brass Dorje that goes into what looks like flames rising from a dragon straddling the "sky iron" blade with his tail ending at the down-turned hook. The blade has a brass handle topped with a dorje and a heavy iron blade connecting the handle to the blade.
The sword is decorated with Vajra as a handle with Chipu and flames at the end.
