This 15.5" inches Antique Rare Authentic Gandhara Art Handmade Tibetan Buddhist Ritual Implement-Vajra Hammer is obtained from a private collection of a Tantric Practitioner who lived in Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh India.
This Vajra Hammer, also known as the Dorjey Towa in Tibetan, is a ritualistic tool in Buddhism that symbolizes the power of wisdom to overcome ignorance and illusion. This Vajra Hammer also known as Vajramudgara in Sanskrit and Dorjee Thoba in Tibetan is a right hand or a method weapon of many deities and essentially symbolizes the smashing or pounding of evil dispositions, especially avarice, covetousness, and miserliness

The vajra hammer is used in esoteric rituals, such as the purification ceremony before a Kalachaka initiation. It can also be used for visualization or evocation of deities.
