This one-of-a-kind antique Tibetan Buddhist Altar Offering bowl comes from the personal collection of a Tibetan Buddhist Monk who has been using it for the last 60 years in a Temple in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, Inda. This bowl is hand-chosen by me for quality as well temple usage heritage.
DESCRIPTION :
Antique Tibetan coppervotive cup for use on a Buddhist altar to make offerings to various deities. There are 8 auspicious items traditionally offered: water to drink, water to wash, flowers, incense, light (an oil lamp or candle), perfume, celestial food, and music (usually a conch shell). This copper cup stands on a round foot and has a deep, rich patina. The underside of the cup is decorated with a raised four-petaled floral motif.
