MATERIAL: ANGORA WOOL
This prayer shawl is hand-made by using ethical Angora Wool in the Himalayan mountains by a small community of Tribal artisans. This traditional shawl has been worn for centuries in the mountains on the Indo-Tibetan border and in the foothills of the Himalayas.
Angora fiber refers to the downy coat produced by the Angora rabbit. Angora wool comes from the fur of the Angora rabbit. The fiber has a very thin, fine diameter and has a halo-like effect of fur around each strand, which creates a shiny quality on any items made with Angora rabbit

WEAVING:
This shawl is made by using a traditional loom. The Weaving technique is tilt process of weaving. In this procedure, the woolen shawls are manually made by winding, drafting, denting, pulling, and adjusting as per the requirement. The geometric decoration of the border of the shawl is woven as basketweave. The artisans use the color graph as the reference for the design that they will weave manually.
