HIMALAYAN ANGORA WOOL BUDDHIST MEDITATION SHAWL/WRAP :
Our "Buddhist Meditation Shawl" is a traditional hand-loomed shawl handcrafted by traditional artisans of the Kullu Valley in Himachal Pradesh, North India. This traditional shawl has been worn for centuries in the mountains on the Indo-Tibetan border and in the foothills of the Himalayas.
PRODUCT DESIGN :
This design is inspired by the Traditional Kullu Jamawar Weave design. It is plain, simple, but universally liked.
Extra care has been taken in the production to ensure a soft feel owing to its smooth texture. It will give a cozy and warm feeling in cold winters. The full size of the shawl makes it easy to drape and pair it with just about anything, from wrapping yourself during a morning cup of tea to an evening out enjoying live music outdoors.
MATERIAL: ANGORA WOOL
Angora fiber refers to the downy coat produced by the Angora rabbit. Angora wool comes from the fur of the Angora rabbit. The fiber has a skinny, fine diameter and has a halo-like effect of fur around each strand, which creates a shiny quality on any items made with Angora rabbit.
WEAVING:
This shawl is made by using a traditional loom. The Weaving technique is tilt process of weaving. In this procedure, the woolen shawls are manually made by winding, drafting, denting, pulling, and adjusting as per the requirement. The geometric decoration of the border of the shawl is woven as basketweave. The artisans use the color graph as the reference for the design that they will weave manually.
