DESIGN :

The Tibetan Buddhist altar and shrine found in temples or homes are elaborately decorated wooden cabinets with doors that enclose and protect a religious image of the Buddha, Bodhisattvas, or mandala. These are installed in the highest place of honor. Sacred texts, relics and are also contained in the different compartments of the altar. Other religious items such as candles, incense, and offerings such as fruit and flowers are placed on shelves for meditation and observation of holy days.

The Buddhist Shrine contains images, statues, and relics associated with the Buddha, Bodhisattvas, or mandala. These devotional shrines are found in meditation spaces, homes, dorms, and offices. A shrine at which votive offerings are made is called an altar.
Tibetan furniture used in homes or temples typically has lavish motifs, which include dragons, snow lions, religious prayers, or eight Buddhist auspicious symbols. The spirituality and wisdom mix in with the marvelous craftsmanship beautifully.
