This plain, authentic pashmina shawl is made of 100% Cashmere Goat, which is one the finest cashmeres in the world from Kashmir, India.
The beautiful wrap begins its journey as a Cashmere fiber somewhere in the mountain ranges of Ladakh, India. This fiber is passed to a weaver after an elaborate process of cleaning and spinning. This weaver gives it the form of a wrap by interweaving into warps and wefts with utmost skill and dedication

DESIGN AND CRAFTSMANSHIP :
This design is inspired by the Traditional Kullu Jamawar Weave design. It is plain and simple but universally liked and used by both Men and Women. The ends are finished with a natural fringe. Extra care has been taken in the production to ensure a soft feel owing to its smooth texture. It will give a cozy and warm feeling in cold winters.
MATERIAL OF THE SHAWL: CASHMERE WOOL
Pashmina comes from an animal fiber Cashmere, derived from the Changthangi goat of Ladakh. It is well known for its warmth, light weight, and softness in addition to its characteristic dye-absorbing properties.
The average fiber fineness of Cashmere wool fiber is 12-16 microns. It takes the wool from three to four goats to produce one Pashmina shawl of measurements 200*100 cm. One goat produces about 150 grams of Pashmina per year.
WEAVING:
This shawl is made by using the traditional pit loom process of weaving. In this procedure, the woolen shawls are manually made by winding, drafting, denting, pulling, and adjusting as per the requirement.
The artisans use the color graph as the reference of the design that they will weave manually.
