54 BEADS SPIRITUAL GODDESS KALI SKULL BONE MALA :
These Large hand-carved yak bone skull beads are reminiscent of the necklace of skulls that the Goddess Kali wears symbolizing liberation, knowledge, and wisdom. This classic Tibetan mala features handmade and hand-carved yak bone beads. Each bead is hand-carved individually in the shape of a skull. In Buddhism, the skull is often recognized as a symbol of impermanence.
Handmade with 54 counting beads including Guru beads. The mala beads are outsourced from Nepal and personally hand-strung by me.
MEANING OF THE MALA :
Bone is a traditional material used in malas in both Nepal and Tibet. Bone represents the earth and our connection to it. Bone is also said to signify strength and to amplify prana (life force energy.)
This mala serves as a powerful reminder to be here now and to live in the present moment; because nothing is permanent. My Buddhist practice revolves around impermanence. We live only in the present moment and it is helpful to remember that nothing lasts. Skulls are featured prominently in Tibetan symbolism and many of our customers are fond of this reminder that nothing lasts forever.
