This long-sleeved upper garment was created in the time of Tsong Khapa, in the 14th century.
Made of burgundy and Tibetan Brocade fabrics, it features a loose fit and wide sleeves. The Tibetan silk brocade is used as a patch design. The Monk Jacket represents the fearlessness of one engaged on the path of enlightenment.
