108 BEADS SPIRITUAL BONE & GODDESS KALI SKULL IMPERMANENCE MALA :
The mala features 108 authentic dark Himalayan yak bone beads, a guru bead, and 3 hand-carved large skull bone beads as a spacer. This mala is outsourced from Nepal and personally hand-strung by me. It includes naturally stained buffalo bone beads. These beautifully hand-carved skull beads are reminiscent of the necklace of skulls that the Goddess Kali wears symbolizing liberation, knowledge, and wisdom. Bone is a traditional material used in malas in both Nepal and Tibet. Bone signifies strength and is said to amplify prana (life force energy.)
MEANING OF THE MALA :
This mala serves as a powerful reminder to be here now and to live in the present moment; because nothing is permanent, everything is possible. My Buddhist practice revolves around impermanence. We live only in the present moment and it is helpful to remember that nothing lasts. Skulls are featured prominently in Tibetan symbolism and many of our customers are fond of this reminder that nothing lasts forever.
MEASUREMENT :
Approximate Circumference:
6.5 - 7.25″
Bead Size: 15mm
Skull Bead - 22mm
SUGGESTED MANTRAS FOR THIS MALA THIS MALA:
Om Sri Maha Kalikayai Namah
Om Kali Ma
INTENTIONS FOR THIS MALA:
Impermanence/Energy / Vitality
In the Himalayas, it is typical for large animals such as yak or water buffalo to be used for service, food, clothing, and ritual items. Given the limited amount of resources and the religious practices of the people in the region, it is important that none of the animals goes to waste. These amazing bone beads are handcrafted by artisans who recycle and reuse everything in daily life and spiritual practice.
MALA BEADS INFO:
Our Bone Mantra Full Mala is individually handcrafted using high-quality natural materials. So, slight variations in bead size, color, markings, and shape are expected and reflect each mala's unique and organic beauty.
All of our mala beads are backed by our 108-day breakage guarantee. Read our Mala Bead Care and Cleaning Guide to learn how to keep your mala looking its best and to avoid premature breakages.
Our prayer beads are purified and blessed before shipping but we do suggest performing an intention-setting ritual before using or wearing them. It is recommended to store your prayer beads in a mala bag or box.
